Distribution: Locally abundant, endemic to Mt. Mulanje Description: Shrubby, weak-stemmed, perennial herb or shrub, up to 2.5 m high. Flowers mainly brownish-white; the petals brown or mauve fading to white at the tip. Style mauve, stigma white. Flowering: May-November. Habitat: Submontane forest, c. 1800 m. Example specimens: Chapman JD & Chapman EG 8514 (FHO); Chapman JD & Chapman EG 9398 (FHO). |
