LocationBtween Savelugu and Diare, along Tamale - Bolgatanga road. Savanna woodland dominated by short shrubby trees.
NotesMedium-sized tree about 7m tall and about 20cm dbh. Slash reddish brown, slightly fibrous and sticky. Dry pale white gum, like incence, appeared on previously slashed bark. Fruits fleshy, globose and rippens yellow; one-seeded with hard nut said to be edible. Stem and roots heavily debarked supposedly for medicinal purposes.
