Species information
DescriptionWoody Climber or epiphytic shrub to 8m; Leaves ovate, 5-15 x 2-7.5cm, hairless; apex acuminate, entire; laterals all rising within 2cm of leaf base; infls to 7cm; flowers white, stalks 7-15mm; corolla tube to 8mm, lobes <2mm; fruits ? with style persistent at tip. Grenadan plants have no hairs, unlike the type specimen.
InterestFruits previously unknown. A plant from Mt. St. Catherine's E. slopes nr top appears to be this rare species, otherwise only known from Trinidad and N. Venezuela.
