Leaves pinnate, 5 serrated leaflets, rachis winged between. Tendrils from leaf axils, forked.

Interest
Paullinia - honour of Simon Paulli (1603-1680), professor of anatomy, surgery and botany at Copenhagen.

Thicket vegetation along a riverbank near Tugu; on Tamale - Yendi road.

Notes
Climbing vine with tendrils. Fruits split open in three valves.
