Plants of Grenada
Testing of formats
The work in Grenada started in 2000 as an academic research exercise, about the fitness for purpose of various formats of field guide. This ultimately lead to a second phase, the actual production of a field guide to Grenadian plants, using some of the outputs from the research phase. The detailed results of this exercise will be published separately.
All items tested were laminated, postcard size, cards of each species.Photo-cards
Photo-cards, showing any parts of the plant though to be useful, although always showing the leaf outline plus details. Scale objects, such as matches, were superimposed.

Paintings
Paintings, as created by Rosemary Wise from fresh material, although with a scale bar added to account for reduction in size from the original painting.
Drawings
Line drawings, as normally presented for botanical guides, with general views of leaves, mostly with flowers & fruit, with diagnostic details for leaves.
Results
