DescriptionSelnder Tree to 15m. Inner bark v. red. <10 pairs lateral nerves; finer venation barely visible; young twigs slightly flattened with a raised line on each face. Flowers usually only 1 in leaf axils; petals pale yellowish, to 1.5mm long; stalks c. 3mm.
InterestMaytenus - from the Chilean name maiten (Mapuche, mantun) for M. boaria.
