Species information
DescriptionFlowers mostly 4-merous. Leaves with fine teeth, with small golden bronw to black dots below. Fruits 3-4mm diam., dark purple with 4 stones.

NotesTree 6 m tall, 8 cm dbh. BRANCHES: with conspicuous grey lenticels. BARK: white, smooth, lenticels 1 x 3 mm. SLASH: conspicuous green outer layer, thin, cream with yellow grit, rapidly darkening to black. LEAVES: fleshy, margin recurved; US waxy; LS covered in minute scales, secondary nerves hardly visible. (RHS colour code: Leaf upper =147A, below=147C)
