Description
5-10m tree; lvs 6-15cm, hairless; flowers globose, slightly 3 angled, 6 fleshy petals; no domatia in leaf axils. Ft surface very smooth compared to the other Annona.

Interest
Annona is a Haitian, or Taino Indian vernacular name (Keay, 1989). This species is not commonly eaten, although it is edible. Sometimes madeinto wines or jellies.

Notes
Tree 9m tall, 12cm dbh with stem divided from base. BARK: smooth, grey, vertical lines of large lenticellate depressions. SLASH: soft, fibrous, damp, pale yellow to pink-brown, darkening slightly, smell faintly sweet. LEAVES: vegetable smell when crushed; US midrib channelled, sec. nerves slightly prominant; LS tertiary nerves darker green. FLOWERS: pale cream-yellow. FRUIT: green, imm.
