Species information
DescriptionEpiphyte with short stems in a rosette; leaf stalks 2-6cm long, blades not lobed, 20-60cm x 12-25cm, with minute black dots. Spadix 2-25 x 1-1.5cm; White berries 1cm long.
Interestrom Gk, anthos, flower, and oura, a tail. Reference to the tail-like spadix.

LocationForest in Mt. Hope region, in foothills and ridges leading to Mt. St. Catherines.
NotesIn Dacryodes, Ilex, Maytenus, Sloanea forest. Very common epiphyte in forest, on lower tree trunks as well as higher branches etc. Spikes black, of very variable length (c. 5-30cm). Lots of leaf litter in centre of rosette.
