LocationS slopes of Morne Gazzo, nr the entrance to the Forest Reserve and trail system.
NotesFlowering material of H&H 155. Small understorey treelet to 4m ht with long branches and a spreading crown. Young shoots round, with brown hairs, reddish when older. Leaves: petioles yellow-green, margin crenate, minute translucent dots at ends of some tertiary veins; upper surface - midrib sl. impressed; tertiary venation visible on both surfaces. Flowers - a single flower collected - two readily deciduous bracts, calyx valvate in bud, petals white, one petal sl. longer than the rest, anthers white, filaments yellow. Very common in lower flanks of Morne Gazzo forest. (RHS colour code: Leaf upper =139A, below=137C)
