Species information
DescriptionTree to 35m; bole angular, with thin irregular buttresses; bark pale; young lvs silver-grey, or golden brown with loose hairs; many closely parallel lateral nerves; lvs mostly <10cm long; abruptly narrowing to blunt tip. Fls 3-5 together; corolla <4mm long. Fruit edible, egg-shaped, 2-4.5 cm long, single-seeded.

NotesLarge tree to 20m ht buttressed at base with some stilt roots. Bole smooth with I-shaped scars. Slash hard, slightly fibrous, 168B exuding thin white latex. Leaves slightly leathery, white latex, upper surface - midrib slightly impressed, lower surface - closely spaced laterals barely visible. (RHS colour code: Leaf upper =139A, below=148D)
