DescriptionTreelt to 8m; leaves rounded to obtuse; midrib prominent above (unlike all other Myrcia spp); yound parts with stiff appressed hairs; flowers in panicles on 2.5cm peduncle, with flower stalks up to 12mm.
InterestMurcia (L.) was a Roman surname of Venus, goddes of love, in allusian to the lovely flowers.
