Parkinsonia - after John Parkinson (1567-1650), apothecary of London and author of two very important books, Paradisi in Sole Paradisus Terrestris (1629) and Theatrum Botanicum (1640). The former book is an early horticulture book and has an awful pun in the title (translated as 'Park in sun's earthly paradise).
