Species information

Description
Trunks to 30cm diam, 2-8m all. 7-11 ribs, bluish green. Masses of long white or brown hairs around base of spines when flowering. Spines 1-8cm long.

Interest
Pilosocereus - from Latin pilosus, shaggy and Cereus.
