NotesShrub to 3.5 m tall. STEMS: upto 4 cm diam., swollen above nodes, sparse longitudinal ridges with lenticels. LEAVES: slightly bullate with all nerves impressed above and prominant below. FLOWERS: white with red bracts. (RHS colour code: Leaf upper =147A, below=147B)
