Morton (1958) also records that Thevetia peruviana may cause dermatitis. The yellow oleander is dangerously poisonous and has resulted in many fatalities, especially on Oahu, Hawaii (Lewis & Elvin-Lewis 1977). Lewis WH and Elvin-Lewis MPF (1977) Medical Botany.
