NotesTree 16 m tall. BARK: smooth, yellow-brown. SLASH: fibrous, soft, pale orange-brown, smell faintly fruity. LEAVES: teeth pointing upwards above the plane of the lamina, nodes of leaflets swollen. FLOWERS: 5 overlapping tepals, 5 stamens, 3 loculi, seeds with ruminate endosperm. Leaves taken from sucker shoot. (RHS colour code: Leaf upper =137A, below=137C)
