Tree 12 m tall with thick spines on trunk. BARK: smooth, pale grey, horizontal ridges and 'eyes' every 10 cm. LEAVES: margin wavy; US midrib and secondaries impressed; LS midrib and secs prominant. FRUIT: brown, old. (RHS colour code: Leaf upper =146A, below=146B)
