Location
W coast approx 5km N of St. George's along the coastal estuary of the Beausejour River behind the beach at Beausejour Bay.

Notes
Large tree to 1.5m dbh and 30m ht with a large spreading crown and thick concave buttresses to 3-4m ht. Outer bark green with many closely spaced horizontal ridges or hoops and densely covered with pale brown conical sharp-pointed woody spines. Slash very thick, soft, fibrous, granular, cream with orange bands. Leaves: upper surface - glossy, midrib yellow, midrib and laterals prominent, all venation visible; lower surface - glaucous, midrib yellow or reddish, all venation visible.
