Description
Shrub to 3m. Lvs 5-7 nerved, acuminate. Stipules laciniate, lobes gland-dtipped. Lvs gland-dotted. Stipules linear 2-7mm.

La Sagesse Nature Trail, nr Marquis Point, peninsula E of La Sagesse beach.

Notes
Same as H&H 261 but with flowers and fruit. 2m shrub; twigs orange-brown; stipules exserted. Leaves papery, hairy, upper surface - laterals impressed; lower surface - only a few tertiary veins visible; old leaves turn brick-orange before falling off; fresh leaves roll up very quickly when picked. Buds slightly sticky. Female flowers at base of inflorescence 5-lobed calyx expands to clasp fruit; c.6 white bifurcatging styles; ovary with 3 carpels. Common in highly disturbed dry coastal thicket / pasture.
