Tree 13m tall. BARK: rough. SLASH: fibrous, soft, pink, quickly turning orange-red, some orange radial flames from surface, sapwood pale orange-cream. LEAVES: fleshy; US glossy, nerves impressed; LS matt, nerves prominant. FLOWERS: pink. (RHS colour code: Leaf upper =137A, below=146B)
