Location
Between Savelugu and Diare, along Tamale -Bolgatanga road. Savanna woodland dominated by short shrubby trees.

Notes
Small shrubby tree about 3m tall and 3cm dbh with thorns on stem and twigs. Stem bark rough with fissured cracks. Slash light brown brown and fibrous. Flower pinkish and yellow at the terminals. Fruits dry dehiscent constricted pods.
