LocationAbout 0.5 km to Larabanga village, from Mole National Park main gate
NotesLarge tree, c. 15m tall with spreading crown. Stem bark hard and with cracks falling off when slashed. Slash pale brown, granular. Flowers white. Fruit pods very hard, dries dark brown and splits open, in two halves, to release the seeds. Seeds black with golden arils.
