Species information
Description7m columnar cactus with short, 25cm diam. trunk; branches (c. 1cm wide) 7-9 ribbed, grey-green. Spines in groups of up to 17 with 1 or more exceeding 5cm long. No tufts of hairs around base of spine clusters.
InterestL cereus, a wax taper. In reference to the shape of the species.
