Species information

Description
Shrub with short side-shoots, sometimes spiny; Stipules pointed, to 3mm long, with long hairs; lf blades <7.5cm long; tufts of hairs in nerve axils; Corolla with narrow tube to 1.5cm, white or yellowish. Calyx lobes 2-5mm. Fruit a 8mm drupe.

Lowland Dry Forest between Dothan and Palmiste, by road close to sea. Flemingia, Ceiba, Cordia curassavica, Bourreria, Tecoma, Albizia nipooides, Pisonia fragrans, Cedrela odorata, Maytenus tetragona, Terminalis catappa, Zanthoxylum.

6m tree wityh arching willowy branches. Yellow trumpet flowers.
