Species information
Description8m tree, with arching pendulous branches; blades elliptic to rounded, 4-7cm long, rounded at apex and base, entire or slightly wavy near apex; with tufts of hairs in axils of nerves; corolla tube 2mm, lobes 3x2mm, folded back; fruit fleshy, white or pale orange-yellow, 1-2cm, gummy, irregularly lobed.

NotesSpreading tree to 7 m with crooked bole. BARK: with shaggy, papery flakes in strips 1 x 30-50 cm. SLASH: fibrous, hard, pale orange-brown with darker layers, turning dark brown in outer parts. LEAVES: US midrib and secss impressed, tertiaries prominant; LS secs slightly prominant, tertiaries darker. (RHS colour code: Leaf upper =137C, below=146B)
