Barra de la Cruz, N side of Laguna.

Notes
Small tree with a short 2m clear bole and a compact rounded crown to 6m ht. Outer bark smooth, mid battleship grey. In full leaf in mid dry season. Leaves sharply pointed at tip, only the midrib visible on either surface. Ripe fruits pale orange with a hard, sl. woody exocarp filled with pale yellow-green flesh filled with hard orange / reddish-brown seeds. Common, scattered in selva baja, mainly as an understorey tree, in this area with Guaiacum coulteri, Pterocarpus acapulcensis, Caesalpinia sclerocarpa and Ruprechtia fusca.
