Location
2km E of Barra de la Cruz, on the rear of the beach.

Notes
Medium-sized tree to 15m ht. Outer bark very distinctive shaggy appearance, flaking in large vertical strips. Slash soft, fibrous with a slow blood-red exudate. Leaves: upper surface - leaflets sl. glossy. Ripe fruits mid orange-brown, indehiscent. Common in selva baja. Very short synchronized flowering period mid-end February.
