Location
Nr coast rd about 3km E of La Crucecita, Bahias de Huatulco resort.

Notes
Small multi-stemmed tree with a rounded branchy crown to 4m ht. Outer bark mid grey-brown vertically striped mid orange-brown with semaphore pattern pale tan horizointally aligned lenticels. Leaf rachis grooved. Flowers on spikes, calyx very reduced, pale green, all other flower parts white. Pods mid orange-brown, breaking into single-seeded segments leaving a peristent replum. Common on ruderal sites such as roadsides and in disturbed secondary vegetation with Hesperalbizia, Cordia, Bursera, Myrospermum, Tabebuia and Jacquinia.
