Other NotesSpecies characteristics : A short obconical shrub, branching from its base to 2.5 m high with a flat crown. Has distinctive long narrow pods with white hairs. Occurs in dry wooded grasslandand deciduous bushland, sometimes dominant, and often on alluvial or colluvial soils. Subspecies paucijuga differs from subspecies paoli in an abscence of long hairs on the branches and shorter pods which are less attenuate at each end.
