Species information
InterestWell known in its area as an excellent browse for camels (Thulin 1998).
Other NotesSpecies characteristics: Slender tree, up to 4 m tall, with a distinct trunk; bark brownish-yellow, peeling in papery flakes. Straight stipular thorns in pairs, with white flowers grouped into round heads. Endemic to north-eastern Somalia, only recently named in 1998.
