Species information

Description
Shrub to 7m; leaf blade 6-11 x 3-7cm; base acute, apex rounded; stipules 2-3mm collar with 1-2mm tooth; corolla 1-2mm tube with 5 linear lobes 6-9mm long. Fruit globose, 2-4mm, purple, fleshy. Flowers scented.

Sprawling shrub on lower slopes; berries becoming red; twigs green at first, soon pale and corky, brittle. Domatia visible from upper surface.
