Species information

Description
Treelet<8m tall. Petioles 1.5-5cm. Major veins with dense long hairs. Flowers almost and fruits stalkless, at nodes on twigs below leaves.

Very hairy melastome tree with branches somewhat Terminalia like, (forming horizontal layers from clusters of leaves on short vertical sections). White corolla in bud; red fts on old stems behind leaves.
