Each collection is accompanied by data collected in the field and while the seed is processed,
germination tested and stored at the MSB. This enormous dataset is a unique resource for
research, development and use in woodland conservation. This website provides open access to
these data, including the ability to search, filter and
export these data according to need.
Additional web-based resources
>>
The website aims not to compete, but to complement and provide easy access to the many other
excellent web-based resources through the use of weblinks in each grid. In particular, The BSBI
Atlas 2020, the NBN Atlas, iNaturalist occurence records, and the seed information and storage
databases of the Society for Ecological Restoration and Forest Research.
Website development is a
component of RBG, Kew's UK Seed Conservation Programme and funded by the Defra Nature for Climate Fund. Email msbukseeds@kew.org for further
