RBG Kew’s Millennium Seed Bank (MSB) holds comprehensive collections of the UK’s native trees and shrubs, representing more than 1,500 populations and 11,000 individual trees across 73 woody species. These collections were made possible with the support of more than 30 partner organisations and collaborators.

Each collection is accompanied by data collected in the field and while the seed is processed, germination tested and stored at the MSB. This enormous dataset is a unique resource for research, development and use in woodland conservation. This website provides open access to these data, including the ability to search, filter and export these data according to need.

The website aims not to compete, but to complement and provide easy access to the many other excellent web-based resources through the use of weblinks in each grid. In particular, The BSBI Atlas 2020, the NBN Atlas, iNaturalist occurence records, and the seed information and storage databases of the Society for Ecological Restoration and Forest Research.
