Visitors are welcome to use the botanical collections within the Department of Biology (formerly Plant Sciences) by appointment. The collections are usually open from 9.00 – 17.00 on Monday to Thursday, when the University is open. However, it may be necessary to restrict access to the collections at short notice.
Appointments for the Herbaria or enquiries about specific collections can be made by contacting Serena Marner (serena.marner@biology.ox.ac.uk) or the curator (stephen.harris@biology.ox.ac.uk).
To visit the rare book collection, please contact Sophie Wilcox (sophie.wilcox@bodleian.ox.ac.uk).
Car parking spaces are limited. If you need one, be sure to request this well in advance. Parking spaces are at the end of Sibthorp Road (lane at side of the Biology building). Reserved spaces are clearly named for visitors. If you have a reservation, come to reception to pick up a parking permit card which must be clearly visible in your car. Return the permit card on leaving.
